I love this piece. Such a lovely metaphor.

Even the simple act of acknowledging God is GOD and I am NOT has transformed my life. Each day I hide away in my closet to pray. Some days I linger. Other days I pause, slip in and dress my soul in the conscious recognition that God is my master. More than anything else this frames my life. Love eternal springs forth, endurance, grit, compassion, and wisdom. But even if it didn’t, each day God deserves this constant offering from me. He. is. GOD.

Now, from the other side of the closet door, I sometimes hear my children whisper, “Shhhh, Mom is praying.” An offering. An offering, to the Giver of all things perfect.ReplyCancel
